Business IT Migrations

Moving email, identity, files, websites, or service providers requires more than copying data. We identify dependencies, prepare the destination, coordinate the cutover, and validate the result so the new environment is stable and supportable.

Whether you are replacing a legacy system, consolidating providers, or separating technology after an organizational change, the work is scoped around your users, systems, and operational requirements.

What We Migrate

  • Email and Microsoft 365: Mailboxes, domains, calendars, contacts, and supported settings moved between email platforms, providers, or Microsoft 365 environments.

  • Identity and directory services: User accounts, domains, authentication, and directory synchronization aligned between cloud and on-premises systems.

  • Files and collaboration content: File shares and supported content moved into SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, or another appropriate destination.

  • Websites and applications: WordPress sites, databases, application files, DNS, and related services moved into a stable hosting environment.

  • Provider and hosting transitions: Services inventoried, consolidated, and moved away from providers that no longer meet the needs of the business.

  • Servers and infrastructure: Physical and virtual servers, storage, system roles, and supporting services moved to new hardware, virtualization platforms, or cloud environments.

Email and Microsoft 365 Migrations

We migrate email from legacy hosting, IMAP platforms, and other providers into Microsoft 365 or managed email hosting. Microsoft 365 projects may also involve moving users and data between tenants or transitioning an existing tenant away from a third-party provider.

Each engagement is planned around domains, DNS, licensing, identity, mail flow, user access, client configuration, and the data supported by the selected migration method. The objective is a controlled transition with clear preparation and validation before the previous service is retired.

Microsoft 365 Tenant and Provider Transitions

Mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and organizational changes may require users and supported data to move between Microsoft 365 tenants. Other businesses need to retain their existing tenant while moving administration and licensing away from a provider such as GoDaddy.

We determine which type of transition applies, confirm access to the source and destination environments, identify the workloads involved, and define the licensing, sequencing, and user-impact considerations before migration begins.

Planning a Migration but Unsure Which Path Applies?

Tell us what you are moving, where it is hosted today, and what needs to change. We will help identify the likely migration path, important dependencies, and the practical next step.

Identity and Directory Migrations

We help businesses align on-premises Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365. Where appropriate, this may include directory synchronization, domain and username alignment, authentication planning, administrative role cleanup, and account lifecycle improvements.

Identity migrations are planned carefully because email, applications, workstations, and user access may depend on the existing account structure. We validate those dependencies before changing how accounts are created, synchronized, or authenticated.

File Server and Collaboration Data Migrations

Moving files into SharePoint Online, OneDrive, or Teams requires decisions about where content belongs, who should have access, and how employees will use it after the migration.

We review the existing file structure, permissions, ownership, unsupported content, and user workflows before moving data. This prevents outdated folders, excessive permissions, and years of accumulated clutter from being copied into a new platform without review.

Website and Application Migrations

We migrate WordPress sites and other supported web applications into our hosting environment with attention to compatibility, performance, and operational stability.

The migration may include application files, databases, DNS, SSL certificates, scheduled tasks, email delivery, redirects, and external service dependencies. Fragile or outdated applications may require remediation before they can operate reliably on a supported platform.

Leaving Your Current Provider

Moving away from an existing IT, hosting, or cloud provider often involves more than the primary service. Domains, DNS, licensing, backups, administrative accounts, integrations, and renewal dates may be spread across several systems.

We inventory the services involved, secure the access required for migration, define the order of operations, and confirm that the replacement environment is functioning before legacy services are canceled or decommissioned.

Planning to Leave Your Current Provider?

We can inventory your existing services, identify dependencies, secure the necessary access, and create a controlled transition plan before accounts or systems are moved.

Our Migration Process

Discover and Map

We identify the systems, users, data, providers, integrations, and dependencies involved. The source and destination environments are documented along with the requirements, responsibilities, risks, and conditions for a successful migration.

Prepare and Test

The destination is configured, migration methods are validated, and supported data is tested before the primary cutover. User communication, access changes, DNS updates, decision points, and available rollback options are planned in advance.

Cut Over and Validate

The migration is completed in a controlled sequence and the resulting environment is checked for access, functionality, mail flow, permissions, and expected user workflows. Legacy services are removed only after the new environment has been validated.

Migrations vs. Ongoing Managed Services

Migration Consulting

Migrations are scoped projects intended to move defined systems, services, users, or data into a specific end state. The engagement includes planning, preparation, execution, validation, and agreed post-migration cleanup.

Managed IT Services

Managed IT provides continuing operational ownership after the migration is complete. It can include user support, monitoring, security, backups, account management, maintenance, and documentation for the resulting environment.

A migration can stand on its own or establish the systems and standards that transition into ongoing managed services.

Plan the Migration Before the Cutover

Tell us what you are moving, where it is today, where it needs to go, and any deadlines or operational constraints involved. We will help define the scope, identify dependencies and risks, and propose a clear migration plan.
